Wonderful You!

I got this card layout off of splitcoast stampers a couple of weeks ago. I think it turned out pretty cute. The color combo was also a challenge issued on Splitcoast. I have been trying to challenge myself with new card layouts and color combinations. Let me know what you think. God Bless - Brandi

You're Invited

Here is a fun pary invitation using the top note Bigz die for the Bigshot and the new Rockabilly DSP. This paper is so much fun. Photos just don't do it justice. Both sides of the paper are designed, but 1 side has a shiny texture to it which makes it super fun! See the black cherries in the photo? That is the shiny texture part, the cherries. I made a different version of this same card but I guess I haven't uploaded the picture yet. Try to get to that later. Having fun playin with my stamps! Woo hoo! Hope to be posting lots for the next few days. God Bless - Brandi

Inspire book of ideas!

For a little therapy last week, I started working on a project for myself. It was totally and completely for the fun of it, and for no particular reason other than to have an idea notebook for myself. I loved the new textured DSP that Stampin' Up! came out with this year, and the colors are exactly my colors, so I picked them for the cover of the Stampin' Up! chipboard art journal. I am really pleaseed with the outcome, and finally put some ink to the define your life stamp set. I had to have that set a couple years ago, but have just struggled to use it. Be looking for more samples using it though. I've really had fun playing with it the last few days. Have a blessed evening. - Brandi

Texturz Thank You

I am having so much fun with the texturz plates. I just keep running everything thing I can through my big shot to add texture to it. This card is also using the elegant thank you, and some of the retired le jardin DSP. The card turned out really pretty. Hope everyone is having a great Monday. I've lots more new things to show you.

Card from a friend

My best friend sent me this card in a package. It happened to coordinate time wise with Valentines. I thought it was a great card and wanted to show it off. Thank Amy for being such a great friend. Hope we can get together soon to stamp together.

Thanks So Much

I am trying really hard to use some of my existing papers. And of course, it seems the discontinue before I get them used, so then I am stuck using them for personal use and not for classes or demonstrations. I was playing with an idea for a class, and still haven't completely finished the idea yet but this is one of the cards that resulted from the creative time. Sorry the lighting isn't so great. Not sure what was going on the day I took the photo. Will certainly try to do better on the next one. I do think it is a cute card though. I am really loving the designer papers and all the punches. I've noticed actually that I might be addicted to punches. Wonder if there is a group for that. There is hardly a card that I don't try using punches on. Or maybe it is just being lazy. Not wanting to cut out the greeting but actually punching it out. OK, you have me. I am just plain Lazy. (Don't tell anyone though, I think I have them fooled hee hee! ) Well, I have had a rough couple of days, but can't really share. Just know that I have had a friend in crisis, and be in prayer for this friend. God knows who it is. And be in prayer for all those who know this friend, because it hasn't been easy on any of them (us). Thanks for looking and God Bless Each of you! - Brandi

Block of friends

This card was the make and take at a party I had last week using the Stampin' Up! set Quilt Quips. This turned out to be a very cute card and could even be used for a valentine for a friend (which I did)! I used the paper from the Candy Lane DSP and Riding hood red ink as well as a couple of brads and punches. Super cute and super easy. We watercolored the heart image using aquapainters. Everyone really had fun making this card. And I have had fun challenging myself to use paper with pink in it. As most of my friends know, I am not really a pink person. Anyway. Hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day.

If you haven't seen the movie Fireproof yet, you need to see it. If you are married, you need to take the love dare and read the book The Love Dare. You will certainly be blessing your relationship with your spouse if you do. We are starting a book study tonight at our church that is over the movie and Love Dare book. We are really excited about it, and people have already seen lots of changes in their marriages just as a result of watching the movie with us last week. So bless your self and your marriage. I Dare You!

Fresh Eggplant and Sage Notes

Here are 2 cards using the Fresh Notes and the stamp set Fresh Cuts using eggplant envy and sage shadow. Super Cute I think! They were a hit at my party tonight, as was the last card I posted using the Heartfelt Thanks. This is such a great group of stampers. They love just about everything I make, which makes the whole process fun. I do have a little whining to do. I am sooooooo tired of being under the weather. This illness started as a stomache bug last Monday, which lasted 3 days, and then turned into some kind of upper respiratory junk, that is just exhausting to deal with. Course, I am never sick, so being ill for this long is making me crazy!!!!!! I am doing my usual chores and stamping, and then having to take some time to rest! Hello! Who has time to rest with a family to care for and stamping to do??????? Certainly not me. Oh well, guess I have accepted that I am just going to have to live with it. I would however like to be over it by Thurs. so I can surprise my Grandmother by taking her out for her 91st birthday. Yes.... I said 91. And she goes like a house afire. She can work circles around the rest of us. Working another a potential project for an upcoming class. We'll see how it develops. Have a great week, and thanks for checking in. God Bless - Brandi

Heartfelt Thanks

My stamp club in Dumas would tell you that this is my favorite set. They are probably right. I had to force myself to start creating with different sets. Since moving to Wellington though, I haven't used it, and I realized that I could use this to show at a Stamp Party Monday night. I am really pleased with how the finished project turned out. I think they will love it on Monday as well. I am waiting for an order to arrive today, and hope to have some new creations over the weekend, so be sure and check back. I am still not feeling all that great, but am better than I was earlier in the week. I think the family are tired of me being down, but I am not sure I have the energy to keep up with them yet. Hope eveyone else is feeling well. God Bless - Brandi

I am alive! (but barely)

Wow, What a week this has been. I don't know what kind of bug is going around, but it is bad, and I caught it. Man was I sick! I am still not up to 100%, but I am doing much better. I have a stamp class tonight, which will be lots of fun. The projects were posted last week on here. Due to feeling so poorly, I am barely getting the necessary stuff done, and certainly no stamping. I do hope to be able stamp this weekend though so check bacj. I think I still have a card that I made to post for you, but will get to you later on that one. Thank goodness I have such a wonderful husband. He has done laundry, vaccumed, fed & bathed the kids, as well as other helpful things. Made it a lot easier for me to do a lot of nothing but laying around moaning. (Yes I did a lot of that on Monday!) Whew! Glad that is over. I just hope nobody else gets it, because I can just imagine what that will be like to care for. I do not handle a lot of laying around well, so this has been really hard on me, and I've had to pace myself to keep from overdoing it. Not an easy thing for me to do with a 4 yearold who wants to go out and play. He was so sweet though. He came up, rubbed my face gently and asked if it would make me feel better to play a game with him. Ahhhh! Isn't he just the sweetest. Too bad I couldn't be vertical long enough to do that though. Here's hoping nobody else has to suffer through such a horrible illness. Thanks for looking. Hope to post something fun soon.

God Bless - Brandi
