You Make my Life.....

Yes, I am still here. Sorry I've been absent a few days. This is another card that was inspired by one of Caleb's shirts when I was trying to find uses for Tangerin Tango. I really liked how this card turned out, even though I struggle a lot with using this stamp set. A little update is that I have a newly remodeled and organized stamp area. Maybe later I will get some before and after pics posted for ya'll. I am prepping for a technique class on Thurs. and on top of that, we got the parsonage note paid off, so we are hosting an ice cream social at the house on Sunday to celebrate. So, add a major cleaning haul to my to do list, seeing as how I still have to clean mud off the baseboards from when the tile was laid down, and the bedrooms have at least an inch of dust that needs to be cleaned. Hey - you've heard that a stampers house is never clean right???? LOL! Not really, my house isn't that bad, but with spring break last week, and working on my stamp area, and then LOVING my stamp area so much that I've been stamping, I've neglected a few areas of my house. There I said it! Check back later for photos of my fun area. Thanks for reading. Got more to post, but I have to get some good photos of the projects first. Blessings - Brandi

Spring Break Week!

We are on Spring break, which is why I have not posted in a few days. We had a nice break to OKC to go to the science museum and the zoo. We got to see some friends, and we all had a blast. Then we did the routine dentist apt. for the boys, and Caleb did so well, he wanted to be first and even got his x-rays with no problem. Then had his follow up visit with the Dr. yesterday, and his tonsils are still big, and he has upper respiratory, most likely allergies again! So we will see what the next few weeks bring for him. I found a desk for my crop area, and am waiting for it to arrive. It was on sale, super great deal! So I am rearranging my crop area again with some peg board and shelving. I hope it becomes a more user friendly crop space, and area for holding classes. Will post photos when it is finished. Due to the rearranging, no stamping so far this week, but have a couple things to post yet from last week. This card is one of them. I think I mentioned the challenging myself to use tangerine tango. Well, this is one of those cards, which also uses kiwi kiss and night of navy. I really like how it turned out. I will probably be using it in an upcoming class. I hope eveyone is having a great week. Hope to post something else later today or tomorrow. Thanks for looking! Blessings - Brandi

Black, White & Gray

I made this card for the kwerner color challenge. I am actually very pleased with the finished product. I think it turned out really nice.

Totally Tool Faux Wood

Doesn't this look like wood? I learned this great technique off another blog called starlightstamper
and I will be teaching this technique at my class on the 26th of March, so if you want to come learn it, then be sure to sign up by this Friday, the 13th to ensure a spot. It will be lots of fun I promis you. I think this is a fun technique to use with the totally tool set, especially for the men in your life. I also ran the chocolate chip piece through the big shot with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texturz plates. Thought it turned out quite well. I think the brads look a lot like nails in the side of the card. Thanks for looking - Blessings - Brandi

Tangerine Tango Challenges!

I have a whole package of Tangerine Tango that didn't get used at Halloween, and knowing it will retire in July, I am trying to challenge myself to create cards using it as a color to use up some of my cardstock. I was really please with the outcome of this card. This technique is crayon resist, and I will be teaching this at my technique class March 26th. Everyone will get to make this card as one of their projects as well. Didn't this just turn out beautiful?
The cold front arrived yesterday afternoon, so we go from 80 yesterday, to 32 today. I enjoy the cold, but of course everyone else is complaining.
Thanks for looking. Have a blessed day! - Brandi

Botanical Blooms

This card was inspired by the Splitcoast scetch and color challenges last week. I used the botanical blooms sell-a-bration set, and the fifth avenue floral designer series paper. I was really pleased with the final product. Colors include kiwi kiss, pink passion, & chocolate chip.

Gratitude!

Have I mentioned lately how much fun I am having with the big shot, the top note die and the texturz pads? Well, I am. It seems that nearly every card I make, I try to run through the big shot. OOOOhhhhh what fun it is. You can't see the texture very well on this card, but if you look closely on the black cardstock, you can see it. This is part of the paper that you can get during sell-a-bration for free through the rest of March. I also used the Define your Life stampset, black grosgrain ribbon, and the flower slide from the silver hodgepodge hardware. I've also been making cards similar to this but adding an alphabet letter, cut using the bigshot, and turning the card into a monogram thank you card. Lots of fun!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!

I am off to pamper myself today. I am going to get a haircut and a pedicure. I never get a pedicure, but felt the need for a little TLC time for me. Hope you all have a great day!

Fifth Avenue Floral

I am loving this stamp set! It is so much fun, and makes some great looking cards. I also love this color combination using the kiwi kiss, baja breeze, and pacific point. As usual, I just get to liking the colors, and we only have a few months left of using these colors, before we get new In Colors. Have a blessed Day! Brandi

Scallop Envelope box!

I saw this idea somewhere, I wish I had written it down so I could give credit where credit is due. This is using some retired DSP but I am doing this for a teenage birthday party using either the Rockabilly DSP or the Flamingo DSP. I have gotten lots of great response on this cute little box! Hope everyone is having a great week so far! God Bless - Brandi

Very Very pretty Tree!!!!!!

I loved this tree when I saw it in the new Decor Elements brochure. Since we don't have a headboard on our bed, I thought it would be cool to put it over the bed. I think it looks great. The pictures really don't do it justice, but to help you know about the size of the tree, it is the large chocolate one in the brochure, and our bed is a king size bed. Let me know what you think. God Bless - Brandi
