Medallion Card!

Well, it seems medallion cards are the in thing, so here is my version of one. This card is using the wanted stamp set, for the medallion, and the new set teeny tiny wishes for the greeting. I love the new modern label punch too. It seems I use it on nearly every card, layered with the word window punch. I am going to have to reach out of the box a little. LOL! Have a great week! Blessings.

I love these flowers!

I Love this embossing folder. I ran the vellum cardstock through the Big Shot with the Manhattan embossing folder, cut the flower out and adhered the vellum to the Bermuda Bay cardstock by hiding the adhesive under the ribbon. This is such a pretty card it could be used for many occasions. I have seen this done all over the internet. Patty Bennett's blog is one of the places I've seen this done.Blessings - Brandi

Cards for my Grandma!

My Grandma asked me to make her some sympathy cards. You know when you live in a small town, it seems all you do is have funerals. So she is out of her stash, and asked me to make some. These are some I made her. I cased this from someone else's blog months ago, and unfortunately, I cannot locate where I found this design at. I made them in three colors, lavender lace, certainly celery, and so saffron, (although the pic shows the saffron looking more like apricot appeal). I think she will be very please with these. You know, I've had this set Close as a memory for a few years, because it is perfect for sympathy cards. But I always feel compelled to color the stems green and flowers a color. What a novel idea to color it all the same color. Makes for easier quicker cards too.

Blessings to all - Brandi

What Hot weather we are having!!!!!!

Believe it or not, I have been stamping the last couple of weeks. I have just been to lazy to take my camera downstairs to take pics of what I have done, because that means I have to sit at the computer for a while and edit the photos adding watermark, making crop and color adjustments. So yes, I procrastinated, but the good news is, I have lots to share for the next several days (or couple of weeks) hee hee! This card is using the new In Color Crushed Curry and one of my favorite stamp sets, Fifth avenue floral. I also used basic gray, going gray and whisper white. The greeting is out of the new catalog from the set called Teeny Tiny Wishes and I used the word window punch partnered with the new modern label punch. I mentioned in my title that it has been hot. 107-108 has been the temps. Have I mentioned that I do not like hot weather at all!!!!!! But we have been staying in doors, (stampin') and if we go out it is usually to the pool. I got to preview the upcoming holiday mini catalog, and oh my word, lots of fun stuff. Not to mention all the fun stuff I still want to play with in the new catty. Be checking out the weekly special on the top right of my blog during the month of July. Have a great day! Back to the real world!!!!

We are back from vacation, and almost recovered from the return to reality. After tackling mount washmore, and the house, (which still needs some cleaning) I have yet to do any stamping and the new catalog release on the 1st. So maybe today I'll find my way downstairs for some creative fun. I have some new things made, but need to get my camera downstairs to take some photos. So here are some pages using Non- Stampin' Up! paper, but some embelishments from Stampin' UP! I was really pleased with the way these pages turned out. Hope everyone has some fun things planned for the 4th.

Frustrated with the Blog!!!!

I have spent quite a bit of time trying to upload the mongram card shown here, but everytime I uploaded it, there was a major flaw with the picture after the upload. You can see here that it looks fine, but I promise you it didn't earlier. I don't understand why. I finally tried uploading to pictures at once, and now, they both turned out great. So here they are. I used scraps from my Rockabilly paper that will be retired on June 30th, and created these cards. My favorite is the monogram card. Will try to post again before leaving for vacation on Sunday, but if I don't, you know it's because I've been busy packing for the trip. Blessings - Brandi

Life without the kids!

Caleb has been at the grandparents since Thursday, and Tristan went yesterday. While I should feel ready to conquer the world, I must admit, I miss them terribly. Instead of getting lots done, I find myself wondering what to do. It just doesn't seem much fun to clean, cook, or do any chores with everyone gone. Maybe I'll stamp if Gene decides to play golf today. I think he and I are planning a trip to Amarillo tomorrow. That will be nice to not have to fight the kids while shopping. We are going on vacation next week, and we alway take our own food because we go stay at a cabin in New Mexico. We also plan on camping out for a night or two at the Great Sand Dunes outside Alamosa, CO. So we can get our shopping for that covered tomorrow. The card above is made with Golden Oldies. I just love this set. We know a bunch of jokers so it's always fun to have a silly card to send. I actually made this one for my dad for Father's Day. He would never wear clothes like the man on the card, but it was so much fun to do the paper piecing for his clothes. Hope you enjoy him. Blessings - Brandi

Too Many to do's???

Do you ever feel like you have too many to do's and not enough time???? I have so many things I want to get done, or finished, yet it seems, I just can't seem the time to get it done. But right now, life is about my family. So they have to come first. All of this other will still be here someday. But they won't be like this someday. The boys will be older and probably won't have time for Mom anymore, so now is the time to spend with them. Even if it means that things don't get done the way I would like them to. Oh well! This page is one of the ones I did at the retreat in May. I am really pleased with the end result. Just to show you how time goes, this was over 4 years ago. I was actually still pregnant with Caleb at the time. He was born a few days later, Tristan was turning 6 the next day. Go enjoy your families!
Blessings - Brandi.

Yes....I am still here!

I have actually tried to post a couple of times, but blogger wasn't liking the picture I wanted to add, so after getting frustrated, I would just have to walk away from the computer. I am sure none of you have ever experienced that. Well, I tried again today, with the same problem. Then I think, maybe it is the particular picture. Eureka. Problem solved. Apparently I have an issue with that picture. So here is a page I made at the retreat several weeks ago. I used a 6x6 page that I had received from a swap, added some bella rose designer paper, and some embellishments, and I love this page. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
