Congrats cards for Graduation! (or any occasion)

The first card is the one I did for the blog tour which I designed with the Wellington Skyrockets graduation coming up the end of the month. The second one is upgraded to personalize for a friend that is graduating from Texas Tech next week. Both very simple, yet both equally great! The double T logo stamp is one that my DH gave me a few years back. Not sure where he found it, but it sure comes in handy when we want to personalize cards or gifts for the Tech minded individual.

Wow, a beautiful Day!

We got an inch of rain last night! It was so wonderful! The thunder woke Gene and I in the middle of the night, but it was so nice to listen to the rain all night too. Makes for a beautiful lazy morning. I do have a couple new things to show you, but need to get the pictures taken. Hopefully before the day is out. I am getting really excited about a scrapbook retreat this weekend done by the Paper Garden in Amarillo. It is so much fun, and I get to see friends I haven't gotten to see in a while. Needless to say, I am trying to organize photos to take to work on, as well as organize my supplies I am taking, while trying not to take EVERYTHING I own. We will see how well that works. I am also trying to get the house ready for the absence of Mom over the weekend. Always a scary thought. Hope to show you some new stuff soon.

Delightful Gifts!

Here is my Scrappy Chick April challenge submission! It is titled "Little Boys are Delightful Gifts". But there are sure times I can question that as a mom. Like when they pick at each other at the breakfast table, causing lots of whining, squealing, & unpleasant sounds. Or the times they strike back at each other over their frustrations. Oh the joys of being a Mom. But then there are the moments when they are sweet, and loving, and just melt your heart. Or when they help each other out, and fighting doesn't quickly follow. When Tristan tries to be the parent in his instructions of Caleb. So sweet.

Color Throwdown Challenge!!!!! CTD38

I managed to get another card made. (I should be making a scrapbook page for the scrappy chick challenge, maybe later when I am done with the daily baking). I did the color throwdown challenge CTD38 from this week and I wasn't sure where this color combo was going to go, but I am very pleased with the final outcome of the card. I used the Wonderful You stamp set which is on the Dormant List. I really love this set. Thanks for looking! Blessings - Brandi

Two Days in a Row!!!

Oh My goodness! I've posted 2 days in a row. Seems of late, that has been difficult. We got 1/2 inch rain last night! Yeah!! And we are getting some more now. It is so nice. I forgot how nice it is to sit and enjoy the rainy dreary day. I love these kind of days.

I made the card the for Kwerner color challenge, but didn't get it photoed and uploaded in time for the challenge. I think it turned out really great though. I am trying to play with some of the new hardware in the catalog, the corduroy buttons and the jumbo grommets. Have fun looking!

Flowers

I made this card for the late night stampers challenge this week. We had to use paper flowers, and preferably no pretties. So I made flowers with the scallop circle, which I showed as a technique in last months class. I use the flamingo paper, and was really pleased with the outcome. I don't usually use these colors, and certainly not together. I tried not to use the busier paper in the set. We are having rain, so this card really doesn't fit in with the cloudy dreary day. The rainy day made it harder to get a good pic too. But I will take the rain! Yeah!!!!!!! Blessings to all. Brandi
