Happy New Year!

To get the year off to a great start, I have a Build A card Kit Class!  What a great way to have cards on hand.  This class includes 8 card, 12 greetings, and 8 card candy pieces to adorn your cards.  Then, when you need a card for a particular occasion, you choose the greeting needed, add it to your card front, include a card candy piece to dress up your card, and you are ready to go!  If interested, please contact me by the 13th of January.

The class will be Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 PM.

This great set is made using the greenhouse gala designer series paper.

Below are the card candy pieces.

Below is the handy purse you make to carry the envelopes, cards, greeting tags, and card candy so all the pieces are conveniently together!

Another Fall Card

Here is another fall card I made for an upcoming class.  I was looking for a simple design and IMG_4847_1also trying to incorporate the faux torn paper technique while keeping it simple.  I used the Autumn Harvest set, using only the leaves and acorns, and I used pumpkin pie, and early espresso ink colors and cardstock.  I added just a snip of ribbon peeking out from behind the greeting.  This card also qualifies for the SUO challenge, so I decided to post it so I could be leave a link to the picture.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed week!

It feels like Fall!

It is so nice and cool this morning that it feels like the beginning of Fall!  It seemed appropriate to show you 1 of the fall cards I’ve been working on.

Name tags for the boys backpacks

I wanted the boys to have a unique name tag for their backpacks, and I thought it might make them feel special to have them.

Tristan is into the extreme sports images, and loves to skate on his Ripstick, and on his new soul skate, so the extreme skateboard image seemed really appropriate.

IMG_4707_1Caleb loves anything Luigi from the Super Mario Bros. games. So this is what I came up with for him. They were both thrilled with what they got.

Teacher Survival Kits!!

IMG_4684

IMG_4685

Our church does a Teacher appreciation luncheon every year for the Teachers of our schools here in Wellington and Samnorwood.  We serve lunch to over 100 teachers, and we put together these gifts for them.  They turned out great, and the luncheon was wonderful.

We have survived the first day of school.  Both boys enjoyed it, and I can’t wait to hear how today went for them.

I love how this card turned out!

Yes, this is more retired designer paper, but this sure turned out cute.

School starts Monday.  Finally spent today to get the kids supplies and back packs organized and ready to go.  Spent last week preparing for the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon that the church does every year.  It turned out great! Stay tuned for pics of that later this week.
